A collaboration with Dmytro Butemann , this is a visual editor for Source Engine material files. I was in charge of user interface design and graphic design while he was responsible for the programming side of things.
Focus was on ease of use as well as on including power user features such as batch creation of .vmt files and support for custom parameters and games.
The project is slowly being updated over on its Github page where you can also download the source or help work on the project.
For those creating textures in Substance Designer or Substance Painter, I've also released Source engine shaders that emulate cubemap reflections and phong specular reflection for more accurate representation of how the materials would look in-game.
